Establishing a social media presence and launching Brighton’s First Food Hall at Shelter Hall
We initially worked with founder Dan Warne at Sessions and his launch team to help develop the vision for Brighton’s first food hall and secure the beautiful historically significant building on Brighton’s seafront.
Our media relations and social media launch campaign focused on quickly establishing this unique new food market into the hearts of foodies visiting, working and living in Brighton.
Despite COVID-restrictions causing early delays, our launch campaign for the inaugural Shelter Hall RAW achieved more than 20 national and local consumer media stories in the likes of The Telegraph, BBC South East, BBC Sussex and a DPS and a front cover in The Argus. The launch was also reported and interviews took place with all UK trade publications. The published news generated over 92,000 coverage views and 240,000 broadcast viewers.
Having created social media accounts, account names and launch content, we organically created a community of over 1,700 in the first fortnight, this has now grown to nearly on 20k instagram alone.
Shelter Hall Brighton is now a leading food and entertainment destination in the city with seven unique kitchens from local chefs and a craft beer, wine and cocktail bar plus regular live music, DJs and entertainment. Sessions has since gone on to raise $10 million in Series A funding to develop more iconic food halls across the UK, in the mould of Shelter Hall, Brighton.
“FUGU quickly understood what we needed. Their early consultancy and development of a local community has been crucial to our success. The team’s ideas, approach and local knowledge was top notch. They’re a no nonsense, hard working team who understand how to launch a new and unique brand in a competitive marketplace. I’d highly recommend them.”
