Championing the UK’s largest celebration of digital culture
The Brighton Digital Festival is an annual, month long, citywide, community led celebration of digital culture in all its forms.
Since 2011, we have become increasingly involved in the festival, helping guide strategy, securing sponsorship and hosting our own event in partnership with totallyradio. We also initiated the fully mentored BDF internship scheme to deliver the wide reaching PR campaign for the festival’s full programme of almost 200 individually curated events.
Aimed at maximising content and coverage, over the past two years we have secured 242 media mentions, reaching over 768 million people worldwide. Articles included ITV Meridian, The Guardian, The Times, BBC Click, Easy Jet Traveller, Digital Arts Online and Gizmodo.
“This year was the festival’s first as a Community Interest Company and with new management in place, this year saw one of its biggest challenges to date. We surpassed last year with a grand total of 196 events from more than 75 organisers and we couldn’t have done it without all the support from Fugu PR. Fugu showed excellent understanding of the festival’s needs and employed a professional strategy in place, which secured us numerous interview slots and headline news on ITV Meridian. Fugu are creative, tenacious and are not afraid to challenge the status quo when pursuing ideas, thanks.”
