Using social media to establish a new retail, culture and foodie quarter in Brighton
Hanningtons Brighton is the latest shopping and leisure district in Brighton. The former disused service yard for the old Hanningtons Department Store has since become a sought after destination for independent retail, leisure, food and drink brands.
Appointed by REDEVCO in early 2020, we have worked with the managing estate landlord, retailers, partners and tourism team, to build the social media community and reach new visitors. We create and share timely engaging social media content to promote the district, the stores and help attract visitors. We’ve also created new cultural partnerships in the city and created content to support new initiatives with the city’s creative beating heart, including @SameSky @ArtistsOpenHouses @VisitBrighton and @Brighton.
We’ve secured ongoing steady growth in engagement and followers across the three leading social channels – Instagram, Facebook & Twitter. Instagram and Facebook have grown over 120% and 180% respectively.
We also created an influencer campaign, working closely with key stores, that led to 2.7k impressions, and two social advertising campaigns that reached 29.6k new targeted individuals.
