The data we collect: media contact details
We use commercial, subscription-based, databases to source the professional contact details (phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles) of primarily UK-based journalists and bloggers.
The information contained within these databases has been wilfully provided by the individuals and outlets themselves and can be amended or removed at any time. We also research contact details from publicly available information online.
We make sure these databases have the right protections and policies in place, and we review them to make sure they remain appropriate.
It is our policy to delete any stored journalist and blogger contact details and information 12 months after a campaign has ended.
The data we collect: event invitation lists
Occasionally we are contracted to organise events on behalf of our clients. For these events we create and store an invitation list containing relevant journalists and bloggers. We use the information referenced above to invite these individuals to an event.
Sometimes we will invite other relevant individuals to events, in addition to journalists and bloggers. These are generally people related in some way to the event’s location or content, who would have a likely interest in the event. Contact details for these individuals will often be taken from a public source – such as a corporate or professional website. They are also stored to support the event planning process.
It is our policy to delete any stored journalist, blogger and event invitee contact details and information 12 months after the related event has occurred.

If you have applied for a job at Fugu or expressed interest in working with us in some way, your data would be saved for future relevant job openings.

We don’t routinely share these details with anybody. The only occasional sharing is on an individual contact basis with permission from trusted partners or clients.
It’s not in our commercial interests to share details of this nature, as it’s part of our IP and client service offering.
