Helping to launch a new type of supermarket
A new type of supermarket, hiSbe stands up for how things should be and aims to supply shoppers with ethical products at affordable prices. Fugu managed press communications around the launch day of the pilot store in Brighton. We also supported the store’s recent crowdfunding initiative with a media campaign which helped secure the outstanding funding to deliver a second store in the city.
Press communications around launch focused around Gordon Roddick’s £20,000 investment, as well as the Buzzbnk crown funding campaign for the shop which at the time was the website’s highest grossing campaign to date. Furthermore, another draw was Caroline Lucas, Green Party MP for the Brighton area, who attended the opening day.
The campaign generated national coverage in The Observer and The Independent alongside substantial local coverage on BBC Sussex radio, The Argus, Brighton and Hove Independent and trade press Small Business Heroes, The Grocer and The Economic Voice.
