BTN BikeShare was last night awarded Green Project of The Year at the Argus Community Stars Awards 2017. The scheme’s green credentials saw it finish ahead of the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm and Brighton and Hove Archaeological Society, who were also shortlisted for the award.
Councillor Gill Mitchell, Chair of the Council’s Environment, Transport and Sustainability Committee said “Well done to everyone involved in setting this up including the Hourbike team and council staff, past and present. It speaks volumes for the city’s environmental conscience that the scheme has been so warmly embraced as one of the best-used bike shares in the country.”
